Isabel Ettenauer is a skilled and inspiring educator. It is a very important part of her work to bring music to new audiences and enable them to experience contemporary music in a very relaxed and immediate way.

With her project THE JOY OF TOY she is a regular guest at universities and festivals introducing the toy piano to young composers and working with them to create new compositions. In 2003 she was 'performer in residence' at the prestigious 'Voix Nouvelles' composition course in Royaumont, France.
In August 2012 she gave a toy piano workshop for young professional pianists at the isa - international summer academy in Reichenau/Rax.  

Isabel is also known as a concert promoter and organiser who develops exciting events for audiences of all ages. For instance, her family concert featuring music by Stephen Montague performed by kids, at the Buehne im Hof, St. Poelten, in the presence of the composer, was highly successful and much acclaimed.

Apart from her freelance work, Isabel has been a faculty member of the St. Poelten Music School Piano Department since 1996. Her piano class has its main focus on the education of highly gifted children. Many of her students have won top prizes in national and international competitions. 


Since autumn 2015 she has also been working as a répétiteur for the violin class of Mag. Alexandra Rappitsch.
